"Riku! Riku!" A brown haired boy bounced enthusiastically towards a silver haired boy who was sitting on a rock facing the blue ocean. "Hey, Riku!"

"Sora, what is it?" The boy turned to face the other child and jumped off the rock. As he fell, he did a backflip landing on the sand, however he was facing the wrong way. He blushed, but quickly wiped all traces of it off his face, and turned to face Sora. The boy in question took a few more strides towards him, as he slowed down. "...Why do you have swords?" Riku asked, noticing the wooden toys the brunette was carrying.

"Aren't they awesome?" Sora waved the two swords in his hands in the air. "See?!" He shouted enthusiastically, grinning.

"...I see, all right. Now stop swinging them around before you hurt someone. Namely, me. Or yourself, since you're so clumsy you might drop it and poke your eye out." Riku rolled his eyes.

Sora lowered the swords, and held them at his side awkwardly,  "Will you teach me how to use a sword, Riku?" Sora begged in a whining tone.

"...Huh?" Riku stared at the younger boy. "I don't know how to use a sword..." Very well... Riku thought to himself, and Sora glared. Riku then remembered something he had said a while back, and gulped. But he quickly thought up a retort.

"But you said you did!" Sora glared.

"That is because you will believe anything." Riku rolled his eyes again.

"I... I do not! I didn't believe you when you said that..." Sora thought for a moment, but was interrupted by Riku before he could get a word in.

"See? You believe everything and anything." Riku smirked, laughing in his head.

"...Gr... OK, fine, if you're so good..." Sora swung the sword in his left hand at Riku, letting it go midswing. Riku quickly grabbed it, reminding himself to tell Sora about something called 'gravity' that could make the sword cut his face, especially if it was real... Luckily, it was not. He then cast a curious glance at Sora, who puffed himself up, trying to look big. "You'll win at something you've never done before! So let us have a sword fight!" Sora grinned, thinking he had though of the perfect way to prove Riku isn't good at everything.

"...Fine, but we have to make it fair." Riku said.

"Huh? Isn't it already fair?" Sora questioned.

"No, we're standing too close together. The one with quicker reactions would win, almost by default." Riku rolled his eyes.

"Whats a default?" Sora blinked.

"...Never mind, just... Go over... there." Riku pointed towards the trees. He then turned around, walking towards the sand a few feet away.

"...Oh, all right."  Sora sighed, and walked over to the grassy area. "OK, ready!" He grinned at the silver haired boy. A wave sprayed Riku, causing Sora to laugh, as Riku returned a glare.

"...OK... On your mark..." Riku spoke. Sora stopped swinging the sword at his side, and held it pointed towards Riku. He smirked, however, it looked so goofy that Riku would of laughed, had he not known his friend better. His face ALWAYS looked like that. "Get set..." Riku bounced the sword in his palm a few times, then mimicked his friend. "...1..." Sora rolled his eyes.

"You're stalling!" Sora shouted.

"Am not." Riku rolled his eyes.

"Are too!" Sora shouted.

"Fine, you want me to go faster?" Riku smirked.

"Yeah." Sora nodded, but quickly realized his mistake.

"...2-3! Go!" Riku smirked, and sprung forward.

"Hey, that's not fair!" Sora whined. Quickly jumping back afraid that the force of Riku's spring would hurt him more than his friend intended. But, he almost tripped over a rock. He gasped as he looked up, for Riku was a few feet away. He quickly held his sword up, turning it sideways. Riku's sword collided almost instantly, but Sora's grip was firm, and the sword almost fell out of his hands.

"I... I wasn't trying my be--" Riku started, but was interrupted by Sora's next movement.

"Shah!" Sora shouted, as he swung his sword forward, making Riku's fall out of his hands.

"Ah!!" Riku gasped.

"...I guess I win, then!" Sora shouted, proudly.

"Ugh... No way..." Riku muttered, upset. "...Can we try again?" He said quietly.

"Nope, I won fair and square... Why do they even say 'square' anyway, Riku?" Sora's curiosity often made it hard for him to concentrate.

"...It's a saying." Riku sighed, looking away.

"...You say that for everything!" Sora folded his arms, his sword sticking in the air.

"...Because a lot of your questions are about them. I thought you might catch  on by now what a 'saying' is." Riku smirked, having found another way to annoy Sora, which was quickly proved by Sora's response.

"I do know what a saying is! It's... uh... heh... er... gr... mmmm... I DUNNO, BUT I KNOW WHAT IT IS!" Sora shouted.

"No you don't." Riku grinned.

"Do too!" Sora started the age old argument.

"Do not." Riku folded his arms.

"Do too!!" Sora glared, pointing a finger at Riku.

"Do not." Riku sighed and shook his head.

"Do too!" Sora's glare increased in anger.

"Not." Riku's grin turned into a smirk.

"Yes I do!" Sora lowered his arm.

"No, actually, you don't." Riku's grin returned.

"...But I do know!" Sora folded his arms, and turned away. "I just can't explain it..."

"...Heh." Riku grinned. He looked down, noticing a forgotten sword. He bent down to pick up the sword Sora had apparently forgotten about. "Yo, Sora." Riku poked his friend.

"..." Sora didn't answer, still mad at Riku.

"...Sora, hey, Sora." Riku tried again.

"..." Still no response from the brunette.

"...Sora?" Riku tried one last time, and when he got no response, he walked off, figuring Sora would get over it soon.

Riku continued to walk down the beach, kicking at the occasional pebble. He sighed, as he got the feeling he was being watched. "Sora, if you're following me, I don't want a rematch anymore." He looked back, but Sora wasn't there. But when he turned to face forward, someone was there.

"Hey!!" Riku gasped, running faster towards the unconscious body lying on the beach. As he got closer, he confirmed it was a girl. "Hey!!" He shouted again, and once he was next to her, he dropped to his knees, he started shaking her, but she didn't stir. "...Hey, wake up!!" Riku tried again, but there was still no response from the red-head. "...Oh no..." Riku gasped. "...I have to do something...!" He looked around, and seeing nothing that could possibly be used to wake up a child.

As he looked down, he realized he had to find Sora. He bent down, and heaved the girl up over his shoulders, and carried her to a tree. He set her down gently.

He looked around, trying to remember which direction he came from, then nodded to the left, and ran.

"Sora!! Hey, Sora!!" Riku shouted, repeating the name with almost every step, hoping he would hear him, and that he wouldn't have to search the island. "Sora!!" He shouted again, as loud as he could, hoping the boy had not yet gone home.
