Best Friends, Right? CH4

    "...Nnnn...guh?" Sora blinked slowly, then after hearing the sound of the ocean waves, much closer than normal, he shot up. Then he glanced around, confused. "How did I get...?" Then, he remembered Riku dragging him out of his house. "...Did Riku take me...? No... This is my boat... So how...?" Sora mumbled, looking over at his friend's boat, which was also there. Then, he looked at his feet, and saw a dead fish.
      
      "...OK... Um, how long have I been here?" Sora jumped out of his boat and onto the dock. "Riku?! Riku, where are you?!" Sora shouted, but when there was no reply, he started to get worried. "Riku!!" Sora shouted, and started to run around the beach.
      
      He went in a full circle along the entire island, but Riku was nowhere to be found. "Riku!!" Sora shouted again. He wondered if Riku had gone out to look for something by himself, and had gotten hurt. He imagined Riku lying in the pool of the waterfall--... But he quickly dismissed the idea. Riku wouldn't be stupid enough to get hurt like that... But then the little bit of doubt came back. ...Isn't he? He ran towards the center of the island, and jumped onto a ledge, cringing at the sound of the waterfall.
      
      "...Riku!! Can you hear me?" Sora shouted once more. He looked up, noticing that a bush seemed to be sort of squashed. He climbed up on it, and onto the ledge above it. Then, he noticed Riku's sword lying on the ground by some vines. "Riku?" Sora gasped. "Why did he leave his sword...?" Sora noticed the vines had been cut at the end, and walked towards them. As he approached he picked up Riku's sword. Oh, yeah... I left mine on my boat...
      
      He walked inside, brushing past the vines, and waited for his eyes to adjust before continuing onwards. "Riku?" Sora whispered, frightened by the darkness. Then, he tripped over something. "Ow!" He shouted as he fell face first onto the hard ground. He got up, and looked at the rock he had tripped over, seeing it scuffed with white marks. "...Cool..." He murmured, then looked around, his eyes finally adjusting enough to see Riku.
      
      "Riku!!" Sora got up, and ran over. "Riku!" Sora gasped, for his friend was out cold. "Riku, wake up! Riku!" Sora started to shake him, hoping it would help wake him up. "Riku are you OK!?" He tried again, this time he heard a slight groan.
      
      "...Ugh..." Riku murmured, blinking his eyes slowly. "...So...ra?" He whispered, and got pulled into a hug by his friend. "...Sora?" He asked, confused.
      
      "You're OK! I thought you died!" Sora laughed. "You were just lying there without moving!"
      
      "...Where...?" Riku blinked, and remembered something about hearing voices and finding a cave. "...Oh... Yeah..."
      
      "What's wrong?" Sora asked, blinking, helping Riku up. "What happened?"
      
      "...I... Um, hit my head, yeah." Riku thought it would be best not to tell his friend he was hearing voices that told him about doors and hearts and stuff. Yeah, he might think I'm crazy...
      
      "Oh, OK." Sora nodded, easily believing him.
      
      The two stood in silence for a while, looking around the cave. "...Sora?" Riku spoke quietly.
      
      "Yeah, what is it?" Sora looked at his friend.
      
      "...Thanks." Riku whispered, and looked away.
      
      "Huh? Thanks for what?" Sora blinked again.
      
      "Thanks for looking for me." Riku murmured.
      
      "...Why wouldn't I?" Sora stared; shocked that he would even think that.
      
      "Well..." Riku started, but was cut off by Sora.
      
      "You're my best friend, Riku." Sora spoke, beaming at Riku.
      
      "..I'm your... best friend...?" Riku turned to face Sora.
      
      "Of course you are!" Sora nodded, still beaming.
      
      "...No joke?" Riku asked again.
      
      "Aw come on, why wouldn't you be?" Sora rolled his eyes.
      
      "Well, I kinda thought you hated me, because of you know... Everything I do to you?" Riku whispered.
      
      "...So?" Sora blinked.
      
      "...What do you mean 'so?'?" Riku asked.
      
      "Friends do stuff like that. Isn't the meaning of friendship to have fun with each other?" Sora asked.
      
      "...Whoa, you... just totally did not act like your IQ." Riku murmured, getting louder as he finished.
      
      "...What's an IQ?" Sora laughed.
      
      "...See?" Riku laughed happily.
      
      "...Heh!" Sora laughed.
      
      "...Hey, Sora, do you want to...?" Riku glanced over at him.
      
      "Huh? Want to what?" Sora glanced towards Riku.
      
      "...Make this our secret hideout? You know, a place only you and me know about, and only we can get to?" Riku nodded, "I mean, this place is pretty neat, we could draw all over the rocks and stuff..." Riku glanced around.
      
      "Yeah... Sure! That's a great idea! We can't tell Kairi, right?" Sora asked.
      
      "Of course we can't, idiot!" Riku laughed.
      
      "...I was just asking!" Sora sighed.
      
      "Yeah, sure... Let's get back before Kairi finds us, she'll probably arrive any moment now." Riku nodded and started walking towards the rock he had tripped over, not waiting for Sora... For Sora would follow.
